Amalia Del Giudice (clarinet)

Her first clarinet professor was Eduardo Ihidoype. Later on Amalia Del Giudice was admitted at the Carlos López Buchardo National Music Conservatory -today the Department of Music and Art Sounds of the Art National University Institute (IUNA) where she graduated in 1989 under Prof. Mariano Frogioni. She took advanced clarinet studies with Prof. Luis Rossi and attended clarinet and chamber music courses under Tomás Tichauer, Mónica Cosachov, Andrés Spiller, Ljerko Spiller, Martín Lovett, MartínTow, Stanley Drucker, David Weber , etc. In 1992 she was granted a scholarship from Antorchas Foundation to pursue advanced clarinet studies under Mo. Guy Deplus at the École Normale de Musique in Paris (France) where in 1994 she unanimously obtained First Prize with the Advanced Clarinet Performance Diploma. She also unanimously obtained the Gold Medal at the École Nationale de Musique in Montreuil (France). She was first clarinet with the Paris International Orchestra with which she toured France several times. She performed as a soloist with the Argentina National Broadcast Youth Orchestra,with the Santa Fe City Symphony Orchestra, with the Corrientes City Symphony Orchestra, etc. She often performs for different composeris associations in Argentina where she frequently premieres solo clarinet and bass clarinet works and chamber music works. As a member of different chamber music - Ensembles XXI among them - Amalia Del Giudice frequently performs throughout Argentina. In 2004 she joined the Sine Nomine Trio with which she performs works for clarinet, cello, and piano. She played with the most important orchestras in Argentina. In 1989 she won a position as a clarinetist with the Buenos Aires City Government Symphony Band, where she has been playing First Clarinet since 1992. In 1995 she and other woodwind players founded the Argos Woodwind Quintet, which was awarded First Prize in the 1996 Festivales Musicales Third Competition. The Argos Quintet recorded two CDs. In January, 2000 she performed with the Argentine pianist and composer Darío Mármol at the Merkin Concert Hall, in New York. Besides her activities as a performer, Amalia Del Giudice has taught clarinet in several institutions throughout Argentina.

 

Rafael Delgado Espinoza (cello)

He began his cello studies in Lima (Peru) under Annika Petrozzi and was later admitted at the Peru National Music School. He continued his music studies in Buenos Aires (Argentina) at the Carlos López Buchardo National Conservatory of Music where his teachers were Vladimir Glagol, Néstor Tedesco, and André Mouroux. Rafael Delgado played cello in many youth orchestras both in Lima and Buenos Aires – Peru National Conservatory Orchestra, Argentina National Conservatory Orchestra, Libertador San Martín Youth Orchestra, and the School of Medicine Youth Orchestra, among others. He also played with the Municipal Theater Orchestra in Lima, and also with the Neuquén Province Orchestra. and the Olavarría City Hall Orchestra in Argentina. He played first cello with several chamber orchestras – Scherzo String Orchestra, Crescendo String Orchestra (from Buenos Aires Collegium Musicum), Congress of the Nation Chamber Orchestra, Lanus University Orchestr, Tandil Chamber Orchestra. He was a member of Mayo Chamber Orchestra from 2002 to 2005, where he was a soloist throughout the 2003 season. He was a member of the Catholic University Piano Quartet and from 2000 to 2006 he was a member of Resonancias String Quartet, with which he played in Buenos Aires and throughout Argentina, and in radio programs and TV shows. He played recitals in Argentina, Mexico, and Spain. Since 2004 Rafael Delgado has been the soloist with Casa de la Opera Orchestra and the Opera Viva Company, both in Buenos Aires. Besides being very active as a teacher, Rafael Delgado has recorded numerous CDs of chamber music, film music, and TV series. His versatility lead him to actively participating in Sin Líneas en el Mapa Ensemble, with which he performs folk music of all Latin American countries.

 

Estela Telerman (piano)

Estela Telerman began her music studies in her native Buenos Aires and was a student of Argentine pianist Dora Castro. She studied at the Municipal Conservatory of Music and completed her studies in Liberal Arts at the University of Buenos Aires. In New York she specialized in Bach studies under Rosalyn Tureck. She was awarded the “JUAN CARLOS PAZ” Prize for her performance of contemporary piano music, and gave first performances of many works by Argentine composers, some of them dedicated to her. She gave first performances in Argentina of CLARA SCHUMANN’s Concerto in a minor and FRANZ LISZT’s Concerto Nº 3. In 1998 she premiered and recorded in Rumania Liszt’s Concerto Nº 3. She also recorded early and late works by Liszt and works by Argentine composers. She frequently performs solo and chamber music recitals and appeared with the most important orchestras in Argentina conducted my Mario Majnaric, Juan Protasi, Adela Marshall, Carlos Calleja, Emir Saul, Luis Gorelik, Alberto Merenzon, Claude Villaret, Juan Rodríguez, Ricardo Sbrocco Since 1992 she has been a member of clarinet-cello-piano Trío Sine Nomine, with which she performs the standard repertoire and a great number of works by Argentine composers. She premiered music by Argentine composers, many of whom dedicated their works to her-. Her CDs "Liszt Unknown " (recorded with the Oltenia Symphony Orchestra in Craiova, Rumania) and “Argentmine Classical composers and the Tango(1867.2002)” obtained awards from the Argentine Music Tribune (UNESCO) in 2002 and 2004, respectively. Estela Telerman gave recitals and concert–lectures on Argentine piano music in concert halls and universities in the United States, Canada, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, France, Italy, Spain, Norway, and Holland. She recorded Argentine music for the Italian TV and for Radio Nacional (Spain). Besides her activities as a concert pianist, Estela Telerman taught at the University of Buenos Aires and presently teaches and coordinates Cultural Activities at the Departmento of Music and Sound Arts of National University Institute of Art ( IUNA ). In 1999 she created and presently coordinates and performs with ARGENTMUSICA, an association devoted to the preservation, dissemination, and editions of Argentine Music. She is presently a member of the Academic Council of the Department of Music and Sound Arts (IUNA) and actively cooperates with the Latin American Association of Pedagogue Pianists (ALAPP), affiliated with EPTA (European Music Techers’ Association).
