In 1992, three distinguished Argentine soloists, interested in the tone-color possibilities of combining a woodwind and a string instrument with the piano, founded the SINE NOMINE TRIO with the purpose of researching on and performing 19th. and 20th Century chamber music works written for clarinet, cello, and piano – many of which, contrary to what happened with the typical violin-cello-piano trio, have remained practically uinknown.
SINE NOMINE is particularly interested in performing works by Argentine composers, many of whom have specially composed and dedicated their works to the Trio.
The Trio has extensively performed throughout Argentina in concert halls, radio and television. In 1998 they toured Canada under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Foreign Relations of Argentina. They played in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal, and in their recitals offered first performances of works by Argentine composers.
